There are a lot of churches out there, a lot of beliefs and
misconceptions. Many people are often "turned off" when the subject
of religion comes up. Why? Maybe it's because no one took the time
to really explain religion, (Christianity); hence Christianity has
become a confusing issue. It is considered a faux pas to mention the
subject of religion in casual conversation. Why should we keep
ourselves in the dark about the safety of our souls? Would you sign
a contract without reading it, a loan, a document? Why would you be
less careful with your very soul? Are you not worth more than a loan
or contract?
We at the Church of
Christ in Toms River study and apply the scriptures of the New
Testament to our worship services as well as our daily lives. We
study the whole Bible not just the New Testament or parts that we
like. To study the word of God is to better understand Him. There is
so much to learn about our Christian heritage.
